Arrived in the UK on 01st Oct'2011
The weather over here was rainy that day. Arrived on Heathrow Airport and found that whatever I was wearing was not appropriate as per the conditions. Quickly took out some more clothes out of my bags.
Hopefully , I was able to find out the driver in a short time bearing my name on the card.
Reached the hotel within an hour, approximately. The driver said it was heavy traffic that day. Me being a guy from Delhi, was quite surprised to what these guys call heavy traffic. Anyways , coz I was already late for office , I took a quick shower and headed towards the office by taking tube. This was probably time when I felt how difficult it was for me to get to the office without my Royal Enfield.
The best thing about reaching here was my mate Amit. He did everything possible on earth to make me feel like home. I could not have anything to eat on my way to office as I'm a vegetarian and I was not quite sure about the nature of foods here. The first thing I ate was a Veg Panini as I had met Amit and Avinash by this time. I forgot to introduce you to Avinash, he is my guru in my professional world. The first day in office was quite okay. I met my manager Sandeep for the first time, he was quite an impressive chap whose experience speaks for itself. Friday was a day in general. And the coming Monday was a boon, as it was a tube strike in London that day and I seriously needed some rest.
